Most of the items listed get a no in that regard. does it change the character’s approach or personality permanently? does it irreversibly alter his environment causing his reactions within it to never be the same? is his or her course altered? ![]() it seems like deaths and marriages are a major development but their execution doesn’t actually carry that much weight.Ī test for whether the status quo has truly changed is judging the affect the event or development has on the narrative. I don’t know…to my eyes, a lot of it is pretty much window dressing.
